2 Day footstool upholstery workshop
An introduction to the wonderful craft of upholstery. You will learn how to upholster a gorgeous footstool (legs are provided in a colour of your choice to compliment your fabric). All ready to take home with you the day, during this friendly and fun workshop.
Upholstery is a challenging but immensely rewarding craft to learn. A dining chair or footstool are ideal projects for a complete beginner but more ambitious projects can be attempted once the basics are mastered.
On this workshop you will learn all about the materials used in traditional upholstery, such as tacks, webbing, , hessian, coir fibre, cotton waddings and calico etc. Along with methods of traditional upholstery, such as ripping out, stuffing, stitched edges, applying calico, applying top cover and trimmings etc. (Footstool size, length 55 cm, width 40 cm, height 28 cm.)
Our class sizes will be kept small, with a maximum of 10 students, this will enable every student to benefit not only from a peaceful and productive working environment but also from more one-to-one time with me . All tools and materials will be provided on the day just bring along your top cover 1 meter required. We have half hour for lunch so you can bring something with you teas and coffees provide.

Cost : £195 per session- to secure your place we require a deposit of £40 per session (full payment to be made no later than 2 weeks before start date).

: For cancellations, please notify us a.s.a.p. Refunds will only be made no later than 2 weeks prior to start date, after this time you will lose your deposit. If you have started and are unable to attend any booked sessions please notify us as soon as you can and we will do our best to transfer you to another date, providing we are able to re-sell your place .We reserve the right to reschedule a workshop if numbers are too low to make it viable to run or will offer to transfer any bookings to other available dates. If the workshop is cancelled for reasons beyond our control then alternative dates will be arranged.
